Bike Towns Fusch and Bruck

A paradise for mountain biker, cyclists as well as for biking families is offered by our two biker villages. The "King of Grossglocknern" bike village of Fusch clearly differs from other alpine bike villages. With the core product of the "Grossglockner high alpine road", including any possible service facilities, a high quality package is at your disposal.

The biker village Fusch offers - according to international trends - an additional offer, that can not be found anywhere else: take the Großglockner High Alpine Road as an example as ideal race and training course, copious tours for training purposes; there are also four mountain bike courses as well as the family hiking paradise Ferleiten.

In Bruck there are five mountain bike courses of every difficulty. Ascend on logging roads to alms and huts. Downhill's on towel-wide single-trails if desired. The Tauernradweg continues through Bruck and onto bike paths in the wide basin of Zell am See and around the lake of Zell. It especially invites families to expanded tours on the valley floor.

Automatic Timing - out of service

"Automatic timing on the Großglockner High Alpine Road"

How does it work?

Its very easy with the fixed timed measuring system, which is installed at the toll-station in Ferleiten and at the finish in Fuschertörl. One pays € 2 at the automatic ticket machine for a bar- code-ticket and a starting time. That means one must immediately start because the time starts from the moment of purchase.
At the finish in Fuschertörl one must put the starting ticket into the  device, standing on the side of the road.
The starting ticket is drawn into the device and you receive a new ticket with the elapsed biking time.

Back at the toll-station you pick-up your well earned certificate, which you can print out yourself.

Certificate

Get your own certificate as proof of the ascent of the king stage of the Tour of Austria and you can declare yourself officially as Glocknerkönig (King of the Glockner).
The tourist office in Fusch offers this exclusive opportunity and at the same time the chance to have your time confirmed from Ferleiten to Fuschertörl.
