... the cosy village next to Zell am See and Kaprun.
Buck-Großglockner is located at the beginning of the National Park Hohe Tauern in the county of Salzburg, you can find it in between the cities of Zell am See and Kaprun with its glacier ski resort Kitzsteinhorn.
In the town center the Großglockner high alpine road has its origin with "kilometer 0". It leads via Fusch and the Hohe Tauern to Heiligenblut in Carinthia, which is a place of pilgrimage.
Small settlements in this municipal area you could already find 4.000 years ago in the early Stone Age time. Bruck (Prugg) was first mentioned and documented in the year 1040. Its relevance grew with the importance of the Salzach bridge as a north-south connection from Salzburg via the Fuscher Tauern to Italy.
Ecclesiastical treasures are hidden in the churches of St. Georgen with its "gothic wing alter" and of Bruck with its Mother of God statue "Mary on ice".
Some natural monuments such as the linden trees near the Kirchenwirt and Gaferl farmer, whitethorn at Niederhofberg, oak at the Woferlgut - are quiet reminders of an intact nature.
The tourist infrastructure of Bruck offers as follows: several internationally distinguished camping areas, hotels, inns, B&B, private rooms etc.
